'We're having twins!' Lesbian Country singer Chely Wright starting family with wife Lauren Blitzer

Just a year ago she revealed she was receiving death threats after coming out of the closet.
Now lesbian country singer Chely Wright has announced she is starting a family with her wife Lauren Blitzer.
The Single White female revealed she is expecting twins after she was artificially inseminated.

Talking on Howard Bragman‘s YouTube show Gwissues, she said: 'When gay couples have babies it’s logistically a little different than when straight people have babies as we all know.
'We feel our entire relationship has been blessed. We feel lucky and ready to take on the challenges.
'We’re excited to be parents and we hope we don’t mess it up too badly.'
Chely married her girlfriend Lauren last year just 15 months after coming out.
The happy couple tied the knot in August in Connecticut.
Over 200 people attended the ceremony, and news of the ceremony spread rapidly on twitter after Lauren, a gay rights activist, posted a picture of the brides writing 'The Blitzer-wrights!!!'

The musician and her 30 year old toygirl spouse held each other tightly, looking completely in love.
Chely has previously claimed being openly gay is damaging to her career.
The singer saw her sales plummet by two-thirds after she came out of the closet.
She said: 'The thing that I don't understand -- the thing I find so ... hilarious, actually, is the fact that the country music community, fine folk that they are, and that's not sarcasm, openly supports and encourages things like alcoholism.

'So ... being gay isn't okay, but being a drunk is?'
She made the decision to do so as a statement of honesty, and also in support of gay youngsters who felt trapped and alone hiding their identity.
She said: 'I knew that if I had a gun in my mouth, I could imagine how many kids were sitting in their bedroom with a bottle of pills or on the verge in some other way.
