'They can write songs about me': Taylor Swift admits that opening up about her exes makes her 'fair game'...as she dresses up for elegant new shoot

She's made a name for herself by writing revealing songs about her previous relationships.
But Taylor Swift, who wowed with her rendition of Trouble at the Brits on Wednesday night, has admitted that she's happy for the shoe to be on the other foot.
Admitting that 'it's fair game' for her ex-boyfriends to write songs about her, the American singer opens up in an interview for April's InStyle.

While most of her exes have remained tight-lipped about her, keeping a dignified silence, Taylor likes to get relationship closure through her music.

 

Speaking to the magazine, the star said: 'If I’m gonna write songs about my exes they can write songs about me. That’s how it works.'
'I’m not gonna complain about it. I’m not gonna sit there and say, “I’m the only one who can write songs about this relationship,'' she added.

The songstress might be tempting fate, as two of her most recent former boyfriends, John Mayer and Harry Styles, are two of the world's most high-profile musicians.
But luckily for her, the One Direction star had nothing but nice songs to say about Taylor at the Brits Sony afterparty on Wednesday night.
'I thought her performance was really good, she looked great,' he told MailOnline, clearly not holding on to any bitterness.

But the 23-year-old starlet made sure Harry knew exactly what he was missing as she posed on the red carpet in a sexy, thigh-high sheer panel gown by Elie Saab.
Although Taylor embraced her racier side at the music awards, she looked ethereal and elegant in her shoot for InStyle magazine, wearing a grey, chiffon gown.
Looking softer than her attention-grabbing stage outfit on Wednesday, the star has her trademark blonde hair pinned back in a sophisticated bun and wearing light, natural-looking make-up.
The exclusive interview and shoot with Taylor appears in the April issue of InStyle - which is out on 7 March.
